I have DL 380 G4 with MSA 1000 connected to it. SMI-S is installed, HP SIM discovered MSA 1000. When I try to licence this array in PMP I have got following message:
Name: "MSA1000_at_SGM0620BX4";
Type: "Storage Device";
Tool launch OK?: "No, is not Server or Storage Device : wrong Device Type"
How to repair this? Why "Storage Device" is not "Storage Device"? Is this problem with SMI-S provider configuration? Should I install additional SMI-S provider (for HBA card or FC switch for example)?

Hi Sebastian,
For license the Storage device, you have to first license the server, to which it is connected. And when you open online analysis page of that server, you will find 'redirect' icon corresponding to the Storage device, which will allow you to license & monitor the Storage device.
Thanks.
