PMP critical error/not working
I'm trying to use PMP (v 4.4 and SIM v 5.1) with a ProLiant DL380 G2 server running windows server 2003 this should be a supported configuration from what I have found. However all I get is critical error from PMP. I've tried everything I can possible think of and double checked every setting.
In the pmp log I get the follwing:
CollectMetrics - Collect Fully failed
State changed from 0 to 5
Reschedule in 60 seconds
Critical Error
sample failed
So I ran a protocol analyzer (comparing with a system that I have that is working) and found a difference. The SNMP requests on the machine that is not working seem to be "looping". The PMP "server" is constantly requesting the same 3 values (SNMP requests). This could be the problem however I have no idea on what to do next.
On the machine that is working (ProLiant 1850R running win 2K) this "loop" does not exist. Every 300 seconds it collects all the data (samples) it needs.
Have anyone else seen the same happening and did you find any solution?
Or any ideas on what to do would be very welcome.
If something is missing please let me know and I'll post more (if I can).

Re: PMP critical error/not working
Hi,
pmplog.txt shows that PMP on CMS is unable to collect required data from Management Agent running on the client. You can verify the SNMP settings on the client, by comparing that of the working system. To make sure of the setting, you can also try to run 'Data Collection' from the SIM.
Thanks.
