Problem with HP Insight Manager 4.2 and PMP

Hi,
after updating several Proliant servers to Smartstart 7.2 and Windows 2003 SP1, I can't license these servers for the Performance Management Pack.
SNMP is OK authentication is OK, they are recognized in HP SIM, but not in PMP.
Any Idea?

Are these Servers visible in the PMP License Screen?
Have you tried hitting the Update Server list in the PMP LIcense Screen?

What kind of Servers are they?

Also, I believe Windows SP1 possibly blocks access to some ports. I've not yet tried with 2003 SP1, but that's where my suspicions would lie. Softpaq 7.20 is generally okay.

I've updated the list, they are visible in the list of all servers, but not in the license screen of PMP. The servers are Proliant 370's.

Re: Problem with HP Insight Manager 4.2 and PMP

Sorry, I'm still not clear, there's an "Update Server List" button in the PMP License screen.
You need to hit that.

Also check the View in the PMP Licensing screen is listing All Servers and not ALL Licensed Servers.

The PMP License screen should display all Proliant Servers.

In the main System Display, are they being recognised as Proliant Servers?

They are recognized in the Main screen, but not in PMP Licensing. Same Problem after Update Server List. The View is All Servers

Re: Problem with HP Insight Manager 4.2 and PMP

I am having the exact problem. I have re-run the "Initial hardware status polling" several times, as well as identify, software and hardware status etc. All of the servers show up in SIM correctly but when I attempt to license the PMP it showes that I have 5 licenses available with no servers licensed. There are only 2 servers in the list in PMP licenseing, and when I click on update server list it doesn't populate all the servers from the main list on the SIM systems. Trust certs work, everything else works, and I could license the servers prior to 4.2 SP1. Now at build C.04.02.00.01 of SIM, VMM 1.1, BladeSystem 1.1, PMP 3.1.

Re: Problem with HP Insight Manager 4.2 and PMP

I needed to run the Bi-Weekly task before a Server was recognised. No idea what the connection is.
But once run, the Servers became visible in the PMP License list.
Just a note PMP 3.1.1 is available for download.
