Re: Problem with HP SIM 4.2 SP1 and PMP
After uninstalling PMP and deleting the PMP DB, restart the system.
Then Run an automatic discovery. Wait until it finishes.
Then Install PMP through HP SIM Setup, you will have the only options to install PMP and something I cannot remember of (it was 0Kb allthough).
Then Restart the System again.
Rerun an automatic discovery.
Get in the PMP Licensing page and remove the license, update the license and it may be ok.

Re: Problem with HP SIM 4.2 SP1 and PMP
1. You licensed it
2. Started monitoring session
then, What happens next?
Please verify that all the HP SNMP management agents are running fine on the server you are trying to monitor.

Re: Problem with HP SIM 4.2 SP1 and PMP
1. what OS / Service pack is the server ( with problems) running?
2. What is the Product name( DL 380 etc)
3. Please create PMPLog.txt in the same folder where there is PMP.exe exits in the PMP install directory. Could you please pass me that file after having 30 minutes of entries in it?
Regards,

Re: Problem with HP SIM 4.2 SP1 and PMP
Typically 'C:\Program Files\HP\Performance Management Pack 3'
In this folder you will have PMP.exe. In this same folder , right click ->New->Text Document. Give the new text document the name of "PMPLog".
When PMP service runs, it starts placing entries to this file. These entries can help me debug the issue.
You may please send me an email at raghavendra.kandakurtikar@hp.com.
