Problem with NIC-Traps and Tivoli Enterprise Console
Hi everybody,
we are using the HP Insight Manager 7.2 (W2k) for monitoring our hardware. The SNMP-Traps grenerated by HPIM-Agents, are sent through the SNMP-Service to the Tivoli Enterprise Console. Events for chassi, raid and powersupply arrive in the TEC. We have a problem with the NIC-Traps, cause they don't arrive. In the Windows Eventlog is an entry, which tells that an SNMP-Trap was generated (f.e. IM_18007). I dont have an idea why those traps dont arrive. maybe someone of you have an idea.

Just to let you know that that this is being investigated. To help us reach a quick resolution can you supply the information requested below and send to myself at the following email address:
Andrew.eastaugh@hp.com
1. Version of Insight Management Agents used?
2. Version of HP Tivoli integration installed?
3. Summary of hardware set-up (include number of NICs used, are they paired etc.). A Survey report would be ideal
4. Steps used by you to reproduce this issue - i.e. how are traps being generated
5. Do you have any Tivoli traces on this problem that you could send?
Andrew
