Problems with receiving traps, switch AT-8524
Hi,
i have problem with receiving traps from Allied Telesis switch AT-8524M. AT switch appears in SIM, identified as SNMP:1.0 ready. I have also allowed unregistered traps. I used tcpdump and find out, that trap from switch arrived to the SIM server (SLES 9 SP3), but in events, there is still only the discovery notification item.
There is a listing from Wireshark:
1 0.000000 10.252.0.5 10.252.0.17 SNMP sNMPv2-Trap SNMPv2-MIB::sysUpTime.0 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 IF-MIB::ifIndex.1 IF-MIB::ifAdminStatus.1 IF-MIB::ifOperStatus.1
SNMPv2-MIB and IF-MIB are compiled and visible in "SNMP Trap Settings", but there are no traps definitions in HP SIM for both mibs. IP address is correct.
Basic question: Is HP SIM able to receive SNMPv2 traps?
Thanks for any help.
