ProLiant DL380 - RAID Notification via Email
Hi all, I'm pretty new to this HP stuff...
What I'm after is some kind of email notification tell me that a RAID has died / drive failed etc...
You can configure this easily using Adaptecs Storage Manager with Adaptec cards.
I looked in "HP Array Configuration Utility" but can't find any SMTP options.
Could someone point me in the right direction ?

Re: ProLiant DL380 - RAID Notification via Email
You can receive email notification by using HP Systems Insight manager or by using HP Event Notifier.
HP Systems Insight manager is prefferable solution if you have many HP servers
Read "Getting started with HP SIM 5.0 in a smaller Windows environment"
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/hpsim-win.pdf
HP Event Notifier usable if you have only small number HP servers and don't want to install/configure/maintain HP Systems Insight manager.
In order to use HP Event Notifier you need to configure it (Start -> All Programs -> HP Management Agents -> Event Notifier) and set HP Event Notifier service to automatic startup (I think this service is disable by default)
