Unable to connect HP-UX manage node form Windows 2000 HP SIM.
Hi
I install HP SIM on Windows 2000 and manage on node 2 OS type windows and HP-UX.
Windows manage node work well but HP-UX manage node unable to connect. I install requirement software
from Install guide to HP-UX manage node :
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
B8465BA -> A.01.05.10 HP WBEM Services for HP-UX
T1471AA -> A.04.20.004 HP-UX Secure Shell
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
but when I used command cimprovider -ls it not have module "EMSWrapperProviderModule" this module need to install or not?
------------------------------------------------------------
# cimprovider -ls
MODULE STATUS
OperatingSystemModule OK
ComputerSystemModule OK
ProcessModule OK
IPModule OK
----------------------------------------------------------------
when I run command "mxwbemsub -l -n" it have error
----------------------------------------------------------------
FAILED to create indication subscription.
No valid path to talk to CIMOM for "hostname"
----------------------------------------------------------------
I setting HP-UX manage system following HP SIM 5 Install Guide page 89.
I make anything wrong ? Or I need to install any software more than WBEM and SSH on HP-UX manage node or not?
Best Regards

Re: Unable to connect HP-UX manage node form Windows 2000 HP SIM.
Hi,
Your version of WBEM seems pretty old. Latest is 2.00.09... what version of HP-UX are you on 11.11 or 11.23?
I'm having the same problem but with more recent versions of WBEM...
See: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=981301
Cheers,
David

I upgrade WBEM to version 2.0.9 and HP-UX version 11.11 but still not work.

Which version of SIM are you on (server-side)? I'm using 5.0 on HP-UX and am still having that problem. I also have a call open with HP about the poor functioning of WBEM... if I get results I'll post them.
