Prompt to install JRE while JRE 1.4.02_04 is already installed
when I access the SIM page I'm prompted that JRE 1.4.1_04 or later is not installed and I must install it first, problem is that JRE 1.4.2_04 is already installed and functioning on my workstation (IE integration is also turned on), why is this ? Now I end up with 2 JRE installed.

Re: Prompt to install JRE while JRE 1.4.02_04 is already installed
Try unchecking the Integration, this should let the Application launch a JRE itself.
I have two JRE's installed, but they're 1.4.2 and a 1.3.1_09 which is used by the old Insight Manager.

Re: Prompt to install JRE while JRE 1.4.02_04 is already installed
well after letting SIM install 1.4.1_04, I've uninstalled 1.4.1_04 after that and now SIM doesn't complain and uses 1.4.2_04.
Strange but it works.

Re: Prompt to install JRE while JRE 1.4.02_04 is already installed
I have exactly the same error, CMS keeps asking me to install JRE although I have it installed. I have tried clearing java cache and even uninstalled Java completely and manually removed all java dirs under my profile and then download and installed the JRE my CMS offering me. Still no luck.

Re: Prompt to install JRE while JRE 1.4.02_04 is already installed
It also asks you during the install, although I think you may need to select the expert mode to see the question. Just don't select IE or Netscape.
This allows the App to chose a JRE rather than the Browser, it allows you to run multiple JRE's.
