PSP 7.5, SMH 2.1.5.146

I have 4 ProLiant servers running Win2K3 SP1. We upgraded their PSP 7.4 to 7.5. All components, but the "System Management Homepage for Windows" upgraded fine, but the SMH refuses to upgrade. We've tried re-installing it (cp005887). We also tried uninstalling the entire PSP.

It generates an error when we try to uninstall it from "Add or Remove Programs"...

Please do the following:
- Close any running programs
- Empty your temporary folder
- Check your Internet connection (Internet-based Setups)

Then try to run the Setup again

Error code: -6003

Clarification...

We can't uninstall or upgrade the "HP System Management Homepage for Windows 2.1.4.143".

We'd like to bring it up to 2.1.5.146.

Try running cp005887.exe directly on the Server you're trying to update. Or extract the components and then run the setup.exe.

I've only done a couple of upgrades so far to 7.50, but no issues so far.

Have already tried running cp005887.exe directly on the Servers. It ends prematurly. No message.

Tried forceing it through version control. The install never finishes. No message.

Extracted cp005887.exe and ran setup.exe. The install ends prematurly with this message:

In all cases the cpqsetup.log shows the "Setup Session Beginning", but it doesn't show the "END SESSION".

I think it's because I can't unistall v2.1.4.

The problem was with the v2.1.4.143. It would not uninstall. I had to manually uninstall it, then v2.1.5.146 installed just fine.

Case closed.
