Query SIM via snmp

Trying to query items like RAID status, power supply status, etc via SNMP. Insight manager itself is working fine on the server, and I can see the status of everything I need to.

However when I perform an snmp walk from another machine, all I get is basic Windows stuff.. ie System Contact, Uptime, etc.

How can I get Insight Manager agents to respond to snmp queries? (Not sending out trap alerts)

Re: Query SIM via snmp

Hello Brian.
What do you want to do exactly ?
If you want to query SIM, the best is to setup an ODBC link on your workstation to query the SIM DB with Excel for example. The SQL DB structure is described in the integrated SIM help.
If you want to query a server with SNMP, you should use Getif or iReasonning (SNMP browsers) with the HP Mib files. It will allow you to navigate within the HP OIDs and query informations other than the location, contact ...
Regards.
