"Configure or Repair Agents" fails with OpenSSL error

After a clean installation on a new 2003 server (installation succesfully finished and rebooted) everything looks fine and is working. However when I want to repair agent settings, this doesn't work and as error I receive EXCEPTION CLASS: com.hp.mx.dtf.sshClient.MxSshFailedConnectionException
EXCEPTION: Unable to contact the SSH server on node "".
SSL reinstalled, nothing helped, error stays.
mxagentconfig asks for server name, user account and password: nothing works here (local account, domain account, insight agents account...), error is "failed to connect to server....
OpenSSH service is running, no errors in eventviewer...

What to do?

Been there and have a fix, it drove me nuts for days... See attached file. This thread will be valuable to archive here. let me know how it works.
