"host is unnamed" in iLO for Netware cluster node
Hello,
On several of our Netware cluster nodes, the iLO reports the server name as:
"host is unnamed"
For this reason, it will not associate the iLO to the server in SIM.
Any ideas? Is there a specific NLM that needs to be running to report this info to the iLO?
Thanks
Nelson

Re: "host is unnamed" in iLO for Netware cluster node
The NLM's regarding iLO are:
CPQCI.NLM = "hp ProLiant iLO Management Interface Driver" and
CPQRISA.NLM = "HP Insight Management Remote Insight Agent"
Your autoexec.ncf should have lines like:
LOAD CPQHLTH
LOAD CPQCI
CPQSNMP.NCF
(In that order).
In your cpqsnmp.ncf you should find a line like:
LOAD CPQRISA /S /U60
CPQCI.NLM = "hp ProLiant iLO Management Interface Driver" and
CPQRISA.NLM = "HP Insight Management Remote Insight Agent"
Your autoexec.ncf should have lines like:
LOAD CPQHLTH
LOAD CPQCI
CPQSNMP.NCF
(In that order).
In your cpqsnmp.ncf you should find a line like:
LOAD CPQRISA /S /U60

Re: "host is unnamed" in iLO for Netware cluster node
Thanks for the tip.
I checked and indeed cpqci.nlm is not running on the server in question. But I compared this to a few other servers that are working, and it is not running on those either.
So now I am even more confused...
Thanks
Nelson
