Repository Update keeps failing on missing file

We have Automatic Updates enabled and every day, we receive an error about a file not found. Specifically:

Invalid HTTP status 404 trying to read file remote file ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/supportsoftware/bp000001-000500/BP000241.xml.
Error downloading remote file ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/supportsoftware/bp000001-000500/BP000241.xml to local file e:\HPVersionControlDB\BP000241.xml.

Error code: 2147500037

It is the same file each day. I checked and the file really doesn't exist. Why would my system try to download an updated file that doesn't exist? How do I tell it to stop looking for this file?

We have the same download errors. I think HP should address this problem modifying their repository xml file or putting the missing files into their master repository. So we cannot do too much.

Guys,

I noticed the same behavior by manually uploading the PSP 7.40 into the VC Repository Manager.

So either there are really some files missing or the index file contains orphaned entries.

Contact HP support for fixing this issue.

You can avoid this problem Temporarily by creating a dommy files with the same name in repository folder.

be sure to delete this dummy files after HP fixes the problem, so that VCRM will download the files needed

I'm not sure how to contact HP to report a problem with Insight MAanger. I would have hoped there was an HP Moderator to this forum who would be able to do that. Anyone know how to contact HP support for software issues?

800-HPINVENT to log a support case. yes, this is currently being worked. Those files should not show up in the repository, so we are working to get a new catalog updated without that data....

Well....I post this message in february 2011 and this issue is still not solved ? The SUM repository is still troubling the automatic updates....
