send descriptive pages via HPSIM
Hi all:
Yes, I am a newbie with HPSIM. Please be gentle.
HPSIM 5.0 on WIN 2003 Server.
I have multiple HPUX servers that I am working with. Setting up disk thresholds through the EMS.
I input a disk space threshold, mark it as a SNMP Trap CRITICAL and it sends to the CMS. The CMS will then alert/page/email the CRITICAL alert. I want to send the page/email with a message that is more descriptive the "Node and severity at etime". This does not tell the oncall personnel what the issue is. I would like the message to say "Node with /home FILESYSTEM full and severity ."
I have been through the NOTICELABEL, NOTICESTATE, etc. without success. How can I define a more descriptive message?
Warning, I typically do not do WIN admin so I can be lost in some respects.
Many thanks!

Re: send descriptive pages via HPSIM
It is not possible to configure the e-mail subject for messages sent from SIM.
You could create a custom command and configure you automatic event handing tasks to call this command. It could then format and send the e-mail alerts using a utility like blat.

Thanks.
I kinda figured that was the case with SIM but wanted to double check.
