I tried to send traps from SIM to NNM but nothing happens on the NNM side. I entered the IP address under trap destination, I received the email messages but nothing gets to the Openview side. Solution anyone?

Solution
Best practice is not to forward to NNM from HP SIM but to have the agent send it directly (the forwarded event will have appeared to come from the CMS and not the originating device -- any other behavior would be spoofing the originator). A complete and *FREE* downloadable "Insight Manager for OpenView NNM" is available from http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> Management Integration Modules.
The integration will recognize a ProLiant and populate the NNM service map with a specific icon for it, will propagate the ProLiant Status Array from the Insight agents (beyond the up/down SNMP status available without it), associate any iLO or RILOE to the server, provide a link to the web UI of the agents, and translate all of the ProLiant-specific traps. This is a must-have for any NNM user.
