Server has gained my workstation IP Address
Running HPSIM 4.2 SP1 (now at SP2)on W2003 Server.
We have a Server that has been in HPSIM for over a year. Not sure when but it is now recognised in HPSIM by the IP Address of my Workstation.
From properties it lists two IP Addresses, the original plus the false one.
My Workstation Address is not, and never has been, in the Discovery ranges. It would not be allocated by DNS to the Server name either.
I don't really want to delete and re-add the Server as I'll lose a great deal of Historical Data, but I'm not too sure how to correct the problem.
Re-Identification didn't work.
I just need to disassociate the rogue IP Address from the Server.

Re: Server has gained my workstation IP Address
I changed the IP Address of my Workstation, removed the IP Address from the DNS and then rediscovered the Server. Which then dropped the rogue IP Address.
How it obtained it is a mystery.
