Setting more than one email sender in SIM

We use SIM to manage multiple customers and as a result need to alert on the events.

Does anyone know a way of defining more than one sender?
If not could this be passed to dev for a feature request in the next release please?

I will suggest it.

In the meantime, consider setting up a distribution list if your email program allows for it. Distribution lists in some email programs can have their own email addresses.

If that is not practical, see if it is possible to send the alerts to a special account, then have a forwarding rule setup for that count within your email application.

I have recently learned you can use a comma delimiter.

As Jon has indicated you can add multiple e-mail addresses with a comma to separate them.
You should also be able to send to a Group e-mail address on your SMTP Server.

Cheers guys for these but what i'm actually looking for is to define one sender for one customer and another for another customer depending on the device that raises the event.

Hi Clive,

When creating the task, you can define the device name as one of the criteria. If I'm reading you correctly, that should satisfy your needs. It will involve creating a lot of different tasks, probably.

The problem is that every time the sender is changed in the task, it also updates the global setting for the sender, and thus changes it for all tasks.

I have modified the enhancement request already submitted with the new information.
