[SIM 4.2] Deploying Firmware, but no Firmware in Support Pack?

I am really interested in using the Deployment function of Software and Firmware, but I don't see any firmware available to deploy. I am running DL380 G2/G3 and some 8500 and was trying to upgrade the RILOE I's I have in some of the servers. After going through -> Deploy -> Install Software, Firmware, and Agents -> Selecting Targets -> then when I browse the Software Node or Server Node I only have driver and utilities to install, no firmware for any device.

Can you actually deploy firmware through this method, and if so why can't I see any firmware?

Specifically I want to deploy firmware for the RILOE I, although it looks like they only have a offiline version for download (i.e. the download only extracts to floppy's).

Yep, you can deploy Firmware but it's not part of a Softpaq.
Go to:

You'll need the Online Versions of the Firmware.
I create a separate sub-directory under the Main Repository for non-Softpaq material.

You can also download and use the VCA to update Array Controller F/W

Unfortunatley it doesn't appear that the RILOE I has an Online version. The only version listed is what's called a 'Softpaq' release.

The RILOE is the one I have the most concern with. Is there anyway to extract the file? When I run it, it will only let me create floppy images. I just want the .bin file or whatever a RILOE needs. This way I believe I could script the install of it.

Here is a link to the file I am talking about:

Not sure about the RILOE I's, they're pretty old. Even with some of the Array Controllers you need to upgrade them to a certain Firmware Level before you can use the Online Version.

If you cannot find an online version of the Software ( a cpxxxxx file) then you won't be able to use the vca to deploy it.

I appreciate the replies! I finally got the file and extracted it to a floppy. I can now use a script to push it out. Although I am still trying to find the compatible remote RILOE tool compatible with the RILOE I for firmware 2.5 and below. I believe there is one out there. The newest only works with RILOE I's 2.5 and below.
