Solutionbut this link may be better for you enjoy :)
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5900-0064/ch05s03.html
hmmmm here we go subash
if any one can do a better summary please do so ..it is a long time since i did this I should have made a write up any takers...:)
quick note each server needs to be setup with proliant support pack first and snmp in stalled to
then sim server is setup first with snmp installed and msde, too
sim server will get alerts from servers via snmp then sim server will send mails via smtp to our mail server
All servers are running hp systems management psp same version
If u set them up with smart start if u did not u can dload it and install it too
hp insight manager it goes out and discovers all ur servers ,
And It shows all about ur servers like drivers firmware etc because the sys management agents are on these servers and snmp traps are setup so they send alerts to the insight manager
basically we set the insight manager to send us emails or page us feks things the operatingsystem does not know like disk failures etc or temp to high
the hp servers will send an snmp trap to insight manager and then we get
emails etc..
we will install hp sim on a server
But we have to install snmp service first so add remove windows components
In win progs
Select management monitoring tools select snmp and it may ask for cd or i386 folder
Now we need to install insight manager now unzip your download, and the installers runs itself
The free msde will do upto 500 servers its is msofts sequel server so install it
Next session we will configure hp insight manager u can double click it or go thru start progs
go to wizzard and select events feks critical
just setup snmp
Just click next u donâ  t need to configure wbem
use public for snmp as default
use public for
and address om smtp mail server
you can select summary to see all selections made
Now this hp insight manager server is all ready .now we have to configure the servers so the send traps to insight manager
We can do this from the insight man homepage on the servers send traps and so the ins manager can send alerts emails etc
Or thrugh browser just type sever name and port2381 you can do this from any server to get to your insight manager home page
Now we want to setup snmp settings
click web agents
private read create
and public something read only
now it is only accepting snmp packets from it self
set it to accecpt snmp packets from these hosts
Now we want to setup snmp settings
in trap config set to public
and ip of trap destinations
Now our changes are made if this has an issue it will send a trap to our insight manager and that is set configured to send us an email server so this is bacically how we set up each normal server
