SIM 6 recognizes only hp servers product name
Hello,
up until 2 months ago i had sim 5.3 with sp1, and i was rather happy with it. i let it scan my entire network, and it even recognized my Dell and IBM server.
2 months ago i installed sim 6.1b, and after the discovery, the sim server can't find:
System Type
Product Name
OS Name
more than that, it lists every IP that is configured on the lan card as a new discovered system.
Even tough it is an IBM server, sim 5.3 knew how to get that info correctly...
Anyone knows how can i fix this?
With thanks,
Itamar

Re: SIM 6 recognizes only hp servers product name
Check the credential for your server.
I guess your SNMP access to the system is missing. (SNMP Security) Our SIM 6.1 installation does not have this problem.

No, it wasn't that, after I removed and reinstalled Sim, everything started to work.

Re: SIM 6 recognizes only hp servers product name
Removing sim and reinstalling it did the trick.
