SIM and ESX servers

Ok, I'm having issues with SIM and my ESX servers, seems like they are able to see each other,but I can't register the VMhosts on SIM. Anyone can point to me a good article on how to set them up or any links for my reading "pleasure"? Thanks in advance

Versions? Hardware?
Error Messages?
Has the VMM Agent been installed on the VM Host Server?
