SIM (Insight Control) and Oracle DB in combination with add-ons

Found an entry
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1167779
with the question already but no pointer was given (or exists?).

Is there a matrix which show which versions of SIM (Insight Control) can be combined and are supported with an Oracle DB?
e.g.: Remote Support Pack, VMM, VPM, Automation, ...

Hopefully we do not have to scan through all the documents to find out.

regards, Marcel

Re: SIM (Insight Control) and Oracle DB in combination with add-ons

Sorry, that doesn't contain the info i'm looking for.

The question is for SIM on Windows.

The doc contains no specifics on the optional add-ons. Previously things like VPM, VMM were NOT possible if SIM was running with Oracle DB.

So i'm looking for the current status/matrix about using Oracle or MS-SQL when SIM (on windows) is combined with additional products.

Re: SIM (Insight Control) and Oracle DB in combination with add-ons

Only HP SIM supports installing against Oracle DB.

No other components of Insight Control supports Oracle DB (as of 6.0)

VPM- is End of Life, no new versions will be released.

Hope this answers

Re: SIM (Insight Control) and Oracle DB in combination with add-ons

for all the plug-ins and HPSIM, HP has Insight software DVD and then runs with MSSQL server only so i think that's an indication that most of their product don't support Oracle.
