Greetings,
I've read through HP's whitepaper on managing servers through firewalls with SIM. Anybody found any of those configurations to be reliable and relatively easy to setup?
Any input on this topic is appreciated.
We have a SIM 5sp5 box on our intranet and our DMZ's will not allow SNMP traffic. I'm thinking we may be able to get away with a WMI Mapper proxy server for identification and possibly use SMTP for alerting?
Thanks,
Ron

One thing I discovered was that https:2381 from DMZ to Internal didn't seem to be enough for Version Control (at least not manual). Had to add http:2301.
Otherwise i followed ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/management/hpsim/ManagingHPServers-withHPSIM.pdf which was rather simple.
