SIM report to show OA firmware levels?
I am wanting to run a report in SIM that shows all the Onboard Administrator firmware levels. However I can seen to find a report option for this. I have a custom collection that shows all the Onboard Administrator but nothing will show the fw level. The only way I can get it is by pulling up the enclosure and then hovering the mouse over the OA. Is it possible to do this?
TIA,
Kevin

Re: SIM report to show OA firmware levels?
If you go to a detail page of any of your Onboard Administrators in HP SIM then on the 'Tools and Links' tab you'll find one marked 'Data Collection Report.' This will show you all of the data that HP SIM has in its database for the device, and, alas, firmware is not there. Must be an oversight.
You can accomplish what you want, though, using an HP SIM Custom Tool. You'll want to create a remote tool that contains the command
show oa info
This assumes that you have established an SSH key trust in the context that HP SIM runs under using mxagentconfig. Once that is done, you can select one or more of your OAs and run this custom tool. For each one of them you will get something like this:
Onboard Administrator #1 information:
Product Name : BladeSystem c7000 Onboard Administrator
Part Number : 412142-B21
Spare Part No.: 414055-001
Serial Number : O967MK0285
UUID : 09O967MK0285
Manufacturer : HP
Firmware Ver. : 2.20
Hw Version : A0
