SIM SMH with ESX 3.5 - Network Name = Serial Number of Blade
I have a c7000 BladeSystem. I have been working on getting SIM 5.3 setup to monitor hardware from the BL460c blades. ESX3.5 is installed with HP IM agents for ESX, SNMP, WBEM, and SSH. But when I try to navigate to the health status of the blade (showing major)it is unable to navigate to the System Home Page. The URL points to https://:2381 instead of the ESX hostname. I know that this is probably an easily resolved problem within the shell - such as assigning an actual hostname. Can someone give me some direction? I'm new to Linux.

Re: SIM SMH with ESX 3.5 - Network Name = Serial Number of Blade
I suppose you have discovered the blade chassis and one blade is shown as "
This means the server was added to your inventory by the blade chassis and not by its own IP. SIM is not able to communicate through the chassis with the ESX.
Try to delete the "
