SIM4.2 w/sp2 Editing an Event Handling Task

I have several email notification event tasks but they are not working so I wanted to edit them but as I step through the edit steps, I am not allowed to get past 'Select Systems', no matter what I change it to. I receive an error on the page. I've attached a screenshot of the error details. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing the error while trying to edit a task?

I also have this problem. I have recently upgraded to 4.2 sp2. The current tasks are working but I cannot edit or create new. I get to the same page as Josh describes. I also notice on this page that system name is no longer available to select.
