SNMP Traps Forwarding: Not all the traps forwarded
Hi Guys,
We're running SIM v5.3
We have a Automatic Events Handling task which forward ALL events from ALL systems to another monitoring system.
We have a succesful status for every events which are forwarded using this tasks. However, on the destination system, we only receive some of the events forwarded.
To be sure to identify the faulty system, we used a packet sniffer on the SIM server to monitor the forwarded traps. What we discovered is that only 'System unavailable','System available' and 'Cluster Status change' is forwarded, so a SNMP trap well sent from SIM to the other system is well seen on the capture.
For all the other events, there is no trap sent for which is the opposite of what SIM is showing on the task result.
We've already search for any set option which can be the cause of the behavior but wiithout any luck.
Did someone already met this issue/behavior? Is it a bug?
Many thanks beforehand for your valuable help.
Regards,
Mitchum
