Strange SNMP trap problem with ESX 2.5.1 server

Hi All,

I've setup the insight Manager Agents on our ESX 2.5.1 server, the agents and the managemetn homepage seems to work flawless.

The problem is that I want the IM traps to be forwarded to out NNM station, but it doens't seem to work.

The snmpd.conf is configured to forward traps, but I receive no traps at all from IM, only traps I see is the cold start when the agent is restarted.

Is there anywhere where the events forwarded needs to be selected?

B.t.w. I'm running only the agents.

What do you mean by, "I'm running only the agents" ?

Are you using the NNM integration module? http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> Management Integraton Modules --> OpenView (free download)

If not, is it possible that NNM is discarding traps it doesn't understand?
