If the (windows) local security policy is set to enabled for "use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing", then I'm unable to connect to the system management homepage. I assume the internal web service is using SSL instead of TLS. Is there a way to configure the internal http server to use TLS for HTTPS?
Thanks
Keith

Solution
I do not know what the policy "use FIPS" does - and I don't have experience using it but the SMH does connect using TLS. I did a quick test by disabling SSLv2/v3 in my browser and left TLS enabled and it still connected to the SMH, so it does support TLS.

Re: System Management Homepage and TLS?
You are correct. I must have overlooked something when I tried earlier. It is working now, with the "Use FIPS..." policy settings set to enabled.
Thanks,
Keith
