System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
I have recently applied Service Pack 5 to Insight Manager 5. Now when i try and access our systems by clicking on the 'System Management Homepage' link, I recieve this error:
"You are not authorized to access this page."
"This page can be accessed only by using the HP Systems Insight Manager menus."
The user account that i use to access is a full administrator and the server that i'm accessing is trusted. I can access the server by clicking the "Insight foundation Agents" link.
Any solutions or further info needed, please let me know.
Regards,
Steve

Re: System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
The current setting is 'Use the System Name'. I have changed this to the other 2 settings, but all have the same response (same as earlier post).
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
Steve

Re: System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
The link that seems to be the issue is:
https://localhost:50000/mxportal/DevicePage/LaunchLinks.jsp?toolGUID=00000000864162de00000000500000048
This is the link that returns the 'Not Authorized' message.

Re: System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
Please use the fully qualified domain name when browsing your HP SIM Server.
Hope this would help.

Re: System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
I have tried changing the setting to use the systems full DNS name for the links - but Internet Explorer complains as the link has full stops in it.
Is there anyway of changing the code so that the first menu that appears is "Tools and Link" instead of the "Identity" menu. ?

Re: System Management Homepage - You are Not Authorized to access this page
Including the account HPSIm was installed under?
It's almost like the Authorizations / Tools have got messed up.
You could try removing your account from HPSIM and recreating it and rechecking that it has all of the correct tools sets.
