System Management Threshold Settings not being saved
I have deployed the SIM Agent on a vmware esx 3.01 server.
It seems to be working fine.
I cna log in and view stats like hard disk, cpu etc. using the web UI on port 2381
I am trying to set the thresholds for warnings and crtical events on the "File System Space Used" section.
It lets me move the yellow and red pointers to set my thresholds but when I hit the Save Thresholds button it reverts back to the previous setting.
Anyone know why this is happening and how do I fix it?
Much appreciated...
here are all the version numbers for the management software that is installed...
net-snmp-libs 5.0.9-2.30E.19
net-snmp-utils 5.0.9-2.30E.19
hpsmh 2.1.7-168
hpasm 7.7.0-115.vmware30
cmanic 7.7.0-5.vmware
net-snmp 5.0.9-2.30E.19
hp-OpenIPMI 7.7.0-105.vmware30
hprsm 7.7.0-99.vmware30

Re: System Management Threshold Settings not being saved
The snmpd.conf file was missing these two entries...
rwcommunity xxxxxxxx 127.0.0.1
rocommunity xxxxxxxx 127.0.0.1
Added them and restarted snmpd and can now save thresholds.
thanks
