Systems Insight Manger installation failure
Attempted to install SIM 5.1 on HP ML 370 running Windows 2000 server. SIM told me it didn't install correctly. I attempted to run SIM. Tells me "HP Systems Insight Manger Service is not installed". I looked at services and there is no HP System Insight Manager Service running.
I looked at the c:\hpsim.log. There's lots of stuff in there. How do I troubleshoot this?

That log is where the detail of the failure should be.
I'd try renaming the current hpsim.log and restarting the install and looking at it as the install progresses.
I'd recheck the pre-requisites have been met - see the Installation Guide.

Do I need to uninstall SIM first? Or just rename the log file and reinstall?
