The device does not have any supported instrumentation
Getting this error "The device does not have any supported instrumentation." when SIM 5.0 tries to run data collection on some servers, and would like to know if anyone knows what it's supposed to mean as the agents are installed and reports status properly, they just don't run in data collection ?

Re: The device does not have any supported instrumentation
With "instrumentation" HPSIM means WBEM. Verify 1. on the HPSIM console: Options/Protocol Settings/Global Protocol Settings, the correct login details for WBEM
2. on the HPSIM console, machine properties, tab Tools&Links, System Protocol Settings, whether a custom WBEM login has been specified.
If you did not manually enter WBEM login credentials for single machines, do not bother about option 2.
The WBEM service must be running on the Managed Systems, but from Windows 2000 that should be the case by default.

Re: The device does not have any supported instrumentation
Hm, well, I'm using SNMP not WBEM.
However a reboot solves the problem from what it seems, no idea why though.
