Two servers, Two IP Addresses, Showing under one name?
I just finished implementing HPSIM and I have two pairs of servers, one pair of Novell and one pair of Win2k Servers, that are doing some strange things. I have HPSIM discover Server1 and it appears fine, but when I have HPSIM discover Server2 it appears with both Server1's IP and Server2's IP, and it kicks Server1 out of the list. If I try to re-add Server1 it says it's already in the list, but it's not. If I reboot the HPSIM server It won't say it's already in the list, but it still doesn't add it. If you understood all that, do you have any ideas.
PS. I checked all of the DNS stuff and even added the machines to the hosts file with no effect.

Re: Two servers, Two IP Addresses, Showing under one name?
Kind of ounds like a duplicate GUID issue (this was fixed a while back - I seem to think it was 6.1).
Stop the agents.
On Netware delete the file \SYSTEM\CPQBSSA.CFG in the NetWare SYS volume.
On Windows remove the entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Compaq Insight Agent\hostGUID.
Restart the agents.
This issue tends to happen on imaged servers sharing the same GUID.

Re: Two servers, Two IP Addresses, Showing under one name?
Just curious if you ever resolved this problem. I have a similar issues with Proliant CL380 servers.
