VPM Installation and MSDE Database? I want it to use my existing Database?!
I went to install VPM on my SIM 4.2 box that has MS SQL Server Enterprise on it and the VPM tries to install MSDE. One MSDE won't install on this box, two I don't want it to use that one I have an existing database. Am I doing something wrong?

The current release does not support using the existing database. If you do not want to install MSDE on your SIM server you might want to consider installing VPM on another system. It is not required to be installed on the same system as SIM.

Thanks for the information. Although I can't believe that is the option I am left with. I just won't use it then....

Re: VPM Installation and MSDE Database? I want it to use my existing Database?!
Hear hear! It should be able to use existing SQL instances. THere's no way I'm going to have yet another SQL instance on the network. I'll stick with HFnetCHkPro and SMS, thank you.
