Re: WBEM password recovery
Are you talking about logging in via the servers local Insight Web Agent (i.e. https://{server name}:2381)?
If so, these passwords (administrator, operator & user) are held in the C:\compaq\webm\cpqhmmd.acl file.
NOTE - You cannot edit the file as the contents are encrypted!
If you have a server that you DO know the local webm administrator password, just copy its cpqhmmd.acl file over the same file on the server you cannot access and then stop & start the Insight Web Agent service. The password has now been reset.
If you are unable to access webm on any of your servers, download the ProLiant Support Pack, run SETUP.EXE, and configure the 'configurable components' with a new administrator password and then deploy the PSP to one server & reboot. Check you can login to the updated server. If all is OK, use this serverâ s cpqhmmd.acl file to repeat the file copy/replace & agent restart process on each of the other servers you need to reset the password.
Hope this helps youâ ¦

Re: WBEM password recovery
The password is set during the SmartStart installation process.

Re: WBEM password recovery
Insight Manager 7 and hpSIM do not maintain passwords, they validate against an OS login and password.
