Ok.
Please check if this Customer Advisory does apply to your situation: "HP Systems Insight Manager Displays Degraded Health Status but No Degraded Items Displayed in System Management Homepage on ProLiant Servers configured with a RILOE and Running HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Version 7.60"

To access the document, open the www.hp.com page and insert the reference c00816350 in the search field.

Re: wrong health status

Hi Robert,

There is a registry workaround for this.

Be careful when making changes to your registry, be sure to know what you do with regedit.

The registry workaround is the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CompaqServer\RemoteInsight\MibStats.
The second byte of the value is the Mib condition.
02 = normal(healthy)
03 = degraded(failed).

If nothing else is degraded in the SMH and this value is "03" then this is the problem .

Manually change this value in the registry from the "03" to "02".
Once SIM performs its next HW Status Polling Task the server will no longer be degraded.
However, if the agents or the server is restarted the workaround would have to be performed again.

HTH,

Re: wrong health status

Just wish to add the alternative is to connect an external power supply module to the RIB.
