Base Warranty and Support Agreement support

What is the difference between Base Warranty and Support Agreement?   What support don't you get with just the base warranty?   And what support do you get that you don't get with base warranty?

Re: Base Warranty and Support Agreement support

@LynnJen

Good day!

I can help you with the general overview:

1. Base Warranty

>> Duration- The base warranty typically comes with the purchase of HPE hardware and provides a basic level of support for a specific duration (e.g., 1 year, 3 years).
>> Coverage- The base warranty usually covers hardware defects and malfunctions. It may include parts replacement or repair services for covered components.
>> Response Time- The response time for base warranty service is often standard, and it may not guarantee immediate or expedited support.
>>Software Support- Base warranties usually focus on hardware support. Software-related issues, including configuration assistance and troubleshooting, may not be included.

2. Support Agreement

>> Extended Coverage- A support agreement typically extends the coverage beyond the base warranty period. This can include options for additional years of coverage.

>> Enhanced Services- Support agreements often provide more comprehensive services, such as faster response times, priority access to technical support, and access to advanced troubleshooting resources.

>> Software Support- Depending on the level of support agreement, you may receive assistance with software-related issues, including configuration help and problem resolution.

>> Proactive Monitoring- Higher-level support agreements might include proactive monitoring services, where HPE monitors your hardware remotely for potential issues and takes preventive actions.

>> Customized Support- Some support agreements allow for more customization to meet specific business needs. This can include tailored service levels and dedicated support contacts.

>> Hardware and Software Updates- Certain support agreements may include access to firmware and software updates, ensuring that your system remains up to date with the latest features and security patches.

Hope this helps!

These are my opinions so use it at your own risk.
