HP PROLIANT DL360 GEN 10 PLUS, excessive fan noise
We acquired an HP PROLIANT DL360 GEN 10 PLUS Server, in which we are experiencing excessive noise in the fans, we have updated the drivers and firmware versions with the Service Pack for GEN 10 Servers, we also updated the firmware of the Advanced Power Capping Microcontroller. But the problem continues, has anyone experienced a similar situation and been able to solve it?

Re: HP PROLIANT DL360 GEN 10 PLUS, excessive fan noise
Hi,
Does the server make the excessive noise when its kept in BIOS mode? or the noise comes only when its booted into the OS?
There are couple of documents available at HPE Support portal for help.
Thank You!

Re: HP PROLIANT DL360 GEN 10 PLUS, excessive fan noise
Thanks for the response, the noise remains when entering the BIOS and the OS, we have a third-party PCI card connected and apparently that is the problem, we removed the card and the fans decreased their power, is there some parameter in the bios to disable that check when a third-party card is installed.

Re: HP PROLIANT DL360 GEN 10 PLUS, excessive fan noise
Hi,
Try the PCI card in a different slot if possible.
See if there is any Firmware update for that PCI card.
Try the Thermal settings in the BIOS of the server.
