HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 with embedded Matrox G200EH And second matrix m9140
I have a new DL380 Gen 10 server. Server supplied with onboard Matrox G200EH card as well as working drivers. The end user want to add a Matrox m9140 card so the can have DVI connections. Server running Windows server 2019.
I installed the new cards but when I go to start the server it goes through basic initializations, but before I can go into the Bios through system utilities the server reboots. It will do this numerous times the and error comes up saying invalid chipset.
I am not sure what I doing wrong or will this not work?
Any info would be helpful.

Re: HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 with embedded Matrox G200EH And second matrix m9140
Hello,
It appears that the card may not be installed properly.
Reseat the card and check. If the issue is not resolved, then connect any working card on that slot to isolate between the slot and card.

Re: HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 with embedded Matrox G200EH And second matrix m9140
I had a few of the Matrox m9140 cards. I tried 3 and none worked. I was able to acquire a couple of older nVidia Quadro K640 cards. Installed them in my two servers with no issues. For whatever reason it did not like the Matrox m9140 cards.
since I got something working I am not troubleshooting anymore.
thanks for the response

Re: HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 with embedded Matrox G200EH And second matrix m9140
Hello
DL380 Gen10 doesn't support matrix m9140.
I would request you use only supported components in this server, follow the below link for more clarifications.
