Hello,
I have been trying to add 2 r6000 g2 UPS to the Power Protector software and although it recognizes them in the "Device Discovery" when I add them it changes to "Lost Connection" and does not let me monitor the UPS; I checked the UPS configuration and the only strange thing is some certificates that appear expired
Firmware UPs: 01.04.0008
HPE Power Protector 2.04.094
The certificates that appear Expired are: "Protected applications (MQTT)" , "Syslog" and "Web Server"
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: HPE Power Protector
I checked it but I don't understand it well, does the UPS lose connection with the Power Protector because the certificates are expired? or they are not related
If so, how do I get new certificates? from HPE?

Hello,
Could you please share the screenshots of the "lost connection" error and the "expired certificates" ones?

Re: HPE Power Protector
These are the captures of what I mention.
Those are the expired certificates and the UPSs appear with that "X"

Re: HPE Power Protector
It's possible that the expired certificates could be causing the issue with the UPS not being able to be monitored properly by HPE Power Protector. You may want to try updating the firmware on the UPS to see if that resolves the issue.
In addition, you may want to check if there are any firmware updates available for the HPE Power Protector software itself. Updating the software to the latest version may also help resolve any compatibility issues that could be causing the connection to be lost.
Another thing to check is if the communication settings between the UPS and the computer running HPE Power Protector are set up correctly. Make sure that the communication settings match for both the UPS and HPE Power Protector software, such as the communication port and baud rate.
Hope it helps! If not, try contacting the HPE support, they will be able to help you further.

Re: HPE Power Protector
Hi,
I could resolve the problem by updating the firmware of the network module from 1.5.7 to 1.7.11:
The UPS was not updated.
