Kindly guide me for

• How to check SPP
• How to upgrade SPP
• How to upgrade iLO4
• Say if I have different model servers but having iLO version same say iLO4, can I upgrade them all with same iLO upgrade software?
• Can I add new HDD without going into Intelligent Provisioning
• Can I configure RAID using Smart Storage Administrator

• How to check SPP
• How to upgrade SPP 

For these 2 questions, you may just download the latest Gen9 SPP and run it, either from the OS of the server if it runs Window server, or by rebooting the server and make it boot from the iLO Virtual media.

The process will tell you if the server is already on the latest SPP, or if any component needs to be updated.

• How to upgrade iLO4

iLO4 shoudl be upgraded with the SPP, but if you need to update it to the very latest, here's how:

• Say if I have different model servers but having iLO version same say iLO4, can I upgrade them all with same iLO upgrade software? --> Yes, except for Synergy servers.

• Can I add new HDD without going into Intelligent Provisioning --> Intelligent Provisioning is used to configure the server and install the OS. No need to go there again just to add more drives.
• Can I configure RAID using Smart Storage Administrator --> Yes you can. What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

So there is no tool to check SPP version etc.., just to check I need to opt for upgrade ?

Secondly I have gone through HP for SPP download but could not figure out which is for my server, can you guide. ?

Since our support has ended so for proactive action I thought to ask question in community w.r.t adding more storage and configuring RAID that's the reason I have asked.

The link you mentioned for iLO4 says thats 

installs an updated version of firmware for the iLO 4 Management Processor on Windows 32 bit Operating System

But mine is 64 bit OS, can you guide. ?

Hello again, 

So there is no tool to check SPP version etc.., just to check I need to opt for upgrade ? --> Yes and no, you just need to run the tool and it'll show what needs to be upgraded. Then just cancel it, it is much simpler than to manually "scan" every single component and try to compare it to the latest version released. So I think it's simpler and faster to do it the way I mentioned.

Secondly I have gone through HP for SPP download but could not figure out which is for my server, can you guide. ? --> SPP it's a bundle that contains all the firmware and drivers released for a single generation of servers, it don't matter of the model. For example, the SPP for ProLiant Gen 9 servers will include different server models, such as DL 160, DL 360, DL380, and many more. The key here is the Generation of the server....don't try to update a Gen9 server with a Gen10 SPP bundle.
