iLO Amplifier Pack 2.12: Job Status Exception Message
Currently running iLO Amp 2.12 on a Linux KVM. Recently began an iLO5 FW update process to bring the enterprise to the current FW version of 2.63. Dealing with older versions of ILO5 FW: 1.35, 1.40 & 1.45. During the last series of FW updates (1.40 & 1.45) began to receive the following Job Status Message via ILO Amp:
"Server firmware update job failed because the action is not allowed."
I checked permissions in both ILO Amp and the ILO itself, using an account the mirrors the Admin's permissions.
I can update the FW when I access the ILO directly but would like to leverage the automation of ILO Amp to carry out these tasks.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated...

Re: iLO Amplifier Pack 2.12: Job Status Exception Message
Hello, this issue was reported previously in this thread:
This was the comment marked as the solution:
1. Check by reset iLO of one of the affected server through iLO web console.
2. Check by removing same server from iLO amplifier and re-add the server back to iLO amplifier.3. Check by updating iLO amplifer to latest. You already are on the latest version.
Hope this helps.

Re: iLO Amplifier Pack 2.12: Job Status Exception Message
Thank for this fix and confirming it works. Maybe I am using ILO Amp incorrectly, but if I have to reset, remove and re-add over 2K servers it kinda defeats the purpose of the fix. Since I already have the system information in ILO AMP, it would make sense that the long term solution is found here or in Infosight.
