Hello,
From the specs the HPE proliand DL380 is recommanded for high availability use case.
Someone knows the reason behind?
Does it mean that the DL360 cannot be used to provide a high availability?
Thank you for feedback

SolutionHi @Alex771 ,
DL360 is 1 U server, DL380 is 2U server. DL380 server has more resource capacity compared to DL360 Server. The resource include -
a. More hard disk capacity of 24 SFF compared to 10SFF in DL360 Server.
b. More hard disks, more comfirtable RAID configuration with better redenduncy.
c. Supports more GPU and accelarator models (Nvidia RTX series) compared to DL360 Server.
d. We can install more PCIe cards due to number of raisers (3 raiser kits) compared to DL360 server.
Even, I recommend to refer the DL360 and DL380 quickspecs, contact HPE Support for any clarification and ,use the server models on the bases of your needs.
I hope, my post clarifies your doubt, if yes, please give KUDOS and mark my post as Accepted solution.
Regards,
Shiva_jr

Re: Proliant DL380 High availability use case server
It's a weird reasoning for HA usecases.
If you don't need that all, because you neither need GPUs, nor lots of local storage due to useing SAN... there's basically nothing left that explains, why DL380 is to be preferred over 360 (etc).
Having more options/ressouces is 100 % disconnected from HA-aptitude, at least in this case, as both could have a high bandwith HBA / several network/storage-ports etc. for failover purposes.
