Dear Experts!
My next challenge is to right-size the Uninterruptible Power Supply that we need to purchase so as accommodate our new server in the farm.
We will be replacing the old one and the new UPS must cater for all of our servers. Note that the UPS is connected to a power generator that caters for power provision during power cuts.
How do i proceed? how do i measure the actual load?
thanking you for your expert guidances.
kind regards
yogeeraj

Solution
Most of the UPS companies have web based tools that will let you calculate load based on the equipment you are protecting.
Try APC's here:

Re: Right-sizing UPS system requirements for my new server
Don't forget that your old(current) UPS has metrics in it. It should be able to tell your draw and it may even show it in a chart. And, well if you are replacing your old UPS b/c battery backup lifetime is too low, and you need three times as much lifetime on battery, then you'd three times more battery than on the old system, etc...
