Script to run commands on linux server through iLO ssh > Virtual Serial Port

Is it possible to write a script that connects to a DL server via iLO SSH and then connect to the server console through VSP to run a command on a server?

This is requirement from a global enterprise to set static IP post automated OS installation without DHCP and without modifying kickstart.

Re: Query: Script to run commands on linux server through iLO ssh > Virtual Serial

I am able to access server console through SSH to iLO, after choosing VSP command. However I am trying to find a solution automatically run a command on the host using a script that can establish SSH connection to iLO and connect to host's console through virtual serial port.

I tried "ipmitool sol" command with partial success. It would be great if I can use Redfish instead of IPMI.

Hello,

You may refer to the section "Linux hp-health utilities" on page 5 of the document titled "Transition to the RESTful Interface Tool (iLOREST)" and see if this is of any help.

You may click here to download the RESTful Interface Tool.
