Trouble with Rail Kits

I've got 2 2U units I want to mount in my cabinet and it looks like they are too long. From post to post inside the cab. It's 25 and 1/2 or so and these are minimum 28", spring loaded slide out rails from compaq, PN 228715-001 and PN 229041-001

is there anything I can do with these things?

We need additional info: don't believe this to be an HP rack; who's rack and which 2U products are you trying to install? The rail kit part numbers provided are used in several applications. Cathey

Chris, I am having this same problem with a 302969-B21 STORAGEWORKS 4414 chassis (supplied rails are 28" but cabinet is 24"). Did you ever find a solution?
