Troubleshoot DL370 G6
I have a DL370 G6 that has been running for years, not a problem.
An unexpcted power cycle resulted in the failure of the system to reboot. The POST does not seem to see either disk controller (one is on the motherboard and the other a full-length card) Bot are populated. There are no errors indicated, it just tres to do a network boot.
There are no indications that there is anything wrong that I can see. No POST errors, no error lights, etc. There are no lights on on the HDD's.
Any pointers where to start would be appreciated.

Re: Troubleshoot DL370 G6
Hi,
If you are near the server, try the following:
Turn OFF the server and remove any additional external devices which are not required for booting.
If possible reseat the array controller card when the server is Switched OFF.
Please see the following documents for help:

Re: Troubleshoot DL370 G6
Thanks for the guidance. I did as you suggested. No joy, but I did find that the HDD's are not powered.
When I select the BIOS version of the HDD controller setup the program says there are no physical drives. Alas there are 2 on one controller and 4 on the other. There are two controllers one embedded on the motherboard and one is a card in a long slot.
The unit has two plug in power supplies, both seem to be OK. No errors and no problems on the front panel.
If you have any other directino i will be greatly appreciated.
Mike

Re: Troubleshoot DL370 G6
Hi,
As you said "HDD's are not powered", its better to reseat or swap the cables to the HDD backplane.
Thank You!
