UPS and authenticated SMTP
This is a UPS with Management Module Firmware: 2.1.11 (latest imho)
It seems not to support authenticated SMTP and that's a problem for me.
Any solution?

Re: UPS and authenticated SMTP
Hi There,
would like to know few details before I share my observation
Which interface (telnet, web or terminal emulation ) are you using to configure the UPS module?
Is there any specific error or message that you are recieving while configuring smtp?
Is 3573 port opened for communication?

No. Just i can't find any option to configure SMTP authentication.

In my firewall? What has this to do with the lack of configure options?

Re: UPS and authenticated SMTP
Thanks Alejandro for providing info.
From the Web Access you may try the following navigation:
Click the Setup tab >> Event Notifications menu >> Email Setup tab >> Enter SMTP Server IP under Email Server Address.
Refer to UPS Management Module User guide for more info

Re: UPS and authenticated SMTP
Thank you for trying help, i had already been there and read the whole manual, but my problem is that my mail server only accepts AUTHENTICATED SMTP.
That is, i need to provide a username and a password for SMTP, just like any modern mail server these days.

Re: UPS and authenticated SMTP
You only have to provide a username and password if the server is relaying mail for you. If the server the UPS is sending mail to handles email for the reciepent, no username or password is required.
I just realized this is 6 months old.
